Dr Peter McMillan has worked full-time in general practice in the Ballina community since 1987. He is interested in all aspects of health and in assisting patients of all ages.
He is proud to have provided care for multiple generations of families and thoroughly enjoys the continuity of care this allows. He finds it a privilege to use his awareness of each patient’s unique situation, his medical experience, and his knowledge of local health services to assist them in their health journey.
Dr McMillan has been a long-term educator of medical students and GP trainees and had also worked in the local hospital system for around 20 years before leaving to concentrate solely on general practice. He attends his patients in local nursing homes if required.
Dr McMillan is very much a generalist and provides care for all stages from infancy to terminal care. His special interests include preventive health, skin cancer, and chronic diseases including diabetes and cardiovascular health.
