Dr Ashleyn Smith

MBBS, BN, SCHP

Ashleyn graduated from her post-graduate Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2018 through Deakin University, completing the majority of her studies in Ballarat, Victoria. Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate degree as a Registered Nurse, working at at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Ballarat Base Hospital. Recently, she has completed additional studies in paediatrics through the Sydney Child Health Program, formally Diploma of Child Health, and has started further studies with the Certificate of Primary Care Dermatology in 2021.

She relocated to Canberra in 2021 to start her full time GP training and has thoroughly enjoyed the friendly small-town feel that Canberra has to offer.

Outside of medicine, Ashleyn is a keen photographer, an indoor-plant enthusiast and an ice-hockey supporter. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats as well as experimenting with new flavours in the kitchen
