After graduating with MBBS in 2010 in Sri Lanka, Dr Dilhan Jayawickrama worked as a Senior House Officer in General Surgery, followed by Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine.

In 2018, he migrated to Australia, became an ICU trainee, and worked at hospitals in Victoria (Bendigo and Shepparton) and Tasmania (Burnie and Hobart).

While in North West Tasmania, Dr Dilhan Jayawickramae earned a Clinical Diploma in Palliative Medicine from RACP. He has also gained rural general practice experience working at Alexandra, Victoria, in 2024.
