Dr Emma Thompson

Dr Emma Grew up in Auckland New Zealand and attended Otago University where she completed a BSc in Microbiology and Immunology, then she went on to complete her medical training graduating in 2013. She moved to New Plymouth and worked in Taranaki Base Hospital, there she completed Diplomas in women’s and children’s health before entering GP training.

After completing GP Fellowship in 2021 she went on to complete a second Fellowship in Urgent care finishing in 2024. She has moved to Hobart with her young son and husband and enjoys the outdoors in her spare time.
