Dr Williams completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 1994. She completed her Intern and Resident training at Royal North Shore Hospital and then worked there as an Emergency Registrar. She achieved her RACGP Fellowship in 2001 after completing training terms at Durri ACMS, Kempsey and established a busy solo practice at Crescent Head. Keen to maintain her skills in emergency medicine, she completed the EMST course in 1998 and 2004. In 2008, Dr Williams took the helm of an established practice in Armidale until joining Ochre Health in 2021.

During her twenty plus years in General Practice, Dr Williams has raised two sets of twins hence the move to Armidale to access education for them. She has enjoyed the cultural activities and proximity to nature offered in Armidale.

Her focus in general practice has been on prevention – developing close relationships with her patients and helping them to maintain and improve their health outcomes. She has also been able to pursue her interest in cosmetic injecting with eighteen years of experience.
