Dr Grant is originally from the very South of New Zealand, graduating with an MB ChB at the University of Otago (2013).
Dr James Grant is a visiting GP consulting at our practice and is available for new patient appointments (Current John Street patients only).
He has made the move to Hobart down from St Helens. He has worked in the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, and now all-around Australia. Initially pursuing a career in orthopaedic surgery, he has now transferred into the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine for fellowship training.
He has extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery and fracture management, as well as working in roles in the emergency and intensive care departments.
Out of work he enjoys scuba diving, hunter-gathering, horses, and dogs.
