Dr Jess Andrewartha

Dr Jess Andrewartha grew up in Kingston Beach and graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2013, completing her senior clinical years in Burnie through the Rural Clinical School. She began her medical career as a junior doctor at the Royal Hobart Hospital, where she gained broad experience across multiple specialties before choosing to pursue general practice.

Dr Andrewartha spent nine years working across North West Tasmania while living in Wynyard, developing particular interests and additional skills in paediatrics, women’s health, and medical education.

She currently serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Tasmania and volunteers as a breastfeeding counsellor with the Australian Breastfeeding Association.

Dr Andrewartha enjoys all aspects of general practice and is currently training to become an IUD inserter. Outside of work, she enjoys small adventures with her husband and two young children, and loves going sailing whenever she can.
