My expertise spans across the full spectrum of General Practice, with particular interests in skin cancer surgery, skin checks, travel medicine, chronic multimorbidity and elderly care with polypharmacy, antenatal shared care and women’s health, mental health issues, men’s health, children’s health, work place & driving medicals and Workers Compensation Claims.
I qualified in medicine from University College Cork, Ireland (2009) having achieved prior a BSc Physiology in 2005 followed by a Master of Surgery Degree (2013) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and subsequently progressed in training up to a Neurosurgical Registrar. I completed General Practice Specialty Training in Ireland in 2019, gaining experience in several areas including respiratory medicine, cardiology, paediatrics, rheumatology, stroke medicine and aged care, women’s health, psychiatry, and emergency care. My background also includes extensive work in surgery, urology, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery as well as working in emergency care in New Zealand.
I also have additional postgraduate qualifications including a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma in Women Health as well as a Diploma in Tropical Medicine.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy adventure racing, trail walks, running, soccer, sailing, golf, genealogy, traveling, and cinema. I can converse in Gaelic (Irish) and French.
