Dr Mrunmayee “Mrun” Bhalerao is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2018. She worked in the Launceston General Hospital where she gained experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics. She moved back to Hobart in 2021 to work in general practice. During her GP training she developed a special interest in allergy medicine and worked with Allergy Tasmania.
Dr Bhalerao believes in comprehensive medical care and a holistic approach to every unique patient presentation. She is passionate about chronic health management, mental health, women’s health, contraceptive advice, and healthy ageing.
She focusses on a collaborative approach with her patients and believes in empowering them to make informed medical decisions.
Dr Bhalerao is fluent in Hindi and Marathi having spent her early years in India. Outside of work she likes to bake, practice martial arts, bush walk and explore new cuisines.
