Dr Yen Tan

BScMedSci, MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Tan graduated from the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Dr Tan was a medical scientist in Australia, conducting medical laboratory tests for diagnosing, treating and preventing disease.

Dr Tan completed her residency and medical registrar years in Canberra including Extended Skills in Emergency Medicine. With a wealth of experience in both hospital and general practice settings, Dr Tan brings a warm and holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing compassion, and prioritising health and wellbeing.

Having gained additional specialty experience in Lipid clinic at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Healthy Weight Clinic at The Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Dr Tan has a keen interest in weight management. Dr Tan has also worked in rehabilitation medicine and with this extensive medical and multidisciplinary experience, she has a keen interest in providing ongoing care in areas relating to chronic disease management, injury prevention and injury management relating to workers’ compensation.

Outside of work, Dr Tan enjoys travelling and cooking.
