Dr Andrea Bellia
Dr Bellia is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and listed on the Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (ARCAP). He has several years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy in both private practice and public organisations.
Dr Bellia is deeply committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges, helping them recognise their strengths and move toward their full potential. He brings a professional, compassionate, and respectful approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that trust and a strong therapeutic alliance are essential foundations for meaningful and lasting change.
A particular area of passion in his work is couple therapy. Dr Bellia supports partners by recognising the uniqueness of each relationship rather than relying on standardised therapeutic models. During the initial assessment, he considers each partner’s personal and family background, past experiences of trauma, and relevant mental health history, alongside key relational dynamics such as communication patterns, conflict resolution, emotional connection, and intimacy. Through tailored therapeutic strategies, he helps couples improve communication, resolve conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen their emotional bond.
