Dr Carey studied medicine at the University of Wollongong, NSW. He did his internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and moved into rural medicine, working in the Emergency Department in Broken Hill and also in rural Queensland.
Dr Carey is interested in preventative health, emergency and indigenous health.
He is passionate about the Outback and being part of the community. Along with his partner and two dogs, he enjoys farming when not seeing patients. He also enjoys playing footy.
