Dr Dania Anwar

Dr Dania Anwar is a dedicated General Practitioner who joined the Ochre Medical Centre team in 2026 after relocating from Nottingham, UK. After successfully completing her specialist GP training in the United Kingdom, Dania practiced as a qualified GP at Rise Park Surgery, Nottingham (UK), where she gained significant experience in managing a wide diversity of patient needs.

Dr Anwar brings a substantial clinical background to the Armidale community. In addition to her GP training, she holds a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK). Her career includes extensive hospital experience in specialized fields such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Elderly Care and Oncology, as well as dedicated rotations in Psychiatry, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Paediatrics. This broad medical foundation allows Dr Anwar to provide evidence based care across all stages of life, from supporting women through the menopause transition to caring for young families and managing complex chronic conditions.

Dr Anwar is known for her gentle, thorough, and approachable nature. She believes in the importance of the holistic, “whole-person” approach that general practice offers. Outside of the clinic, she is a busy mother of two and is looking forward to settling into the New England region and enjoying family weekends exploring the local area.
