Dr Callum Norris
MBBS
Callum graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2018 and went on to complete his internship in the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2019.
Following this he made the move to Newcastle where he began work in the Hunter New England LHD, working primarily in the John Hunter Hospital. For the last 4 years he has worked in several NSW Health hospitals both within and external to the HNE network, working primarily in adult general medicine as well as medical subspecialities including; cardiology, nephrology, infectious diseases, haematology and medical oncology. He also has experience in mental health having completed 2 terms of adult inpatient psychiatry within the HNE network.
Ultimately, he decided he needed a change of pace to his working life and so decided to move into general practice. Prior to this move though he returned to the emergency department at John Hunter Children’s Hospital to refresh his skills and knowledge in paediatric medicine.
His interests outside of medicine include spending time with his greyhound (Lachie) and playing board games with his friends.
