Dr Clare Guest is a Specialist General Practitioner and Rural Generalist. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Diplomate of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr Guest has particular expertise in skin cancer medicine, and regularly undertakes complex excisions and surgical reconstructions. She has completed further training in skin cancer detection, surgery and face and ear reconstruction.
Dr Guest received a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University in 2011, and completed internship and residency at Monash Health. She obtained a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015 and achieved Fellowship of RACGP in 2016.
Post-Fellowship, Dr Guest provided general practice, emergency medicine and obstetric care in regional Victoria. During the pandemic, she established and ran a remote front-line medical practice in the Gulf of Carpentaria for a multinational resources company.
Dr Guest is an experienced Rural Generalist and has provided emergency medicine services across NSW, Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania. She is experienced in managing trauma and complex life-threatening conditions in challenging resource-limited remote locations.
Outside of work, Dr Guest enjoys exploring Australia with her young family and golden retrievers.
