Dr Edward Ford
Dr Edward Ford
MBBS MRCGP
Dr Ford graduated from the London Hospital Medical College in 1999 and started training in orthopaedic surgery at hospitals in the East end of London and then in Southampton. He then pivoted and moved into General Practice as he realised that he enjoyed the variety of medicine rather than being too specialised.
In 2006, he became a partner at a GP Practice in Minehead in Somerset in the Southwest of England. For a while he ran some general orthopaedic clinics in the local community hospital but had to stop this due to pressures in the Practice. He also volunteered with the regional ambulance service as a medical first responder and major incident medical advisor and attended many serious incidents in the 16 years her served as a volunteer. In the 18 years he served as a GP in Minehead he developed skills in looking after the elderly due to the local population being the most elderly population in the UK.
Dr Ford and his family have now relocated to Grafton and are enjoying all that this community has to offer.
Outside of work, Dr Ford enjoys DIY, walking and cooking. He is a keen follower of formula 1 and rugby (both disciplines!).
