Dr Reem Babiker Yousief Abdallah
MBBS, MRCGP
Dr Reem Babiker is a Sudanese-trained doctor who graduated from Kassala University in 2005. After completing her internship in busy hospitals across Khartoum under the guidance of experienced and dedicated physicians, she began her career at the Military Hospital in the Department of Renal Dialysis, where she worked for one year.
In 2010, Dr Babiker moved to Saudi Arabia and joined the Ministry of Health, working in the primary care sector. There, she provided comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with a focus on preventive medicine and antenatal care. In 2018, she achieved the MRCGP (International) and became registered as a Registrar of Family Medicine in Saudi Arabia.
Dr Babiker has actively engaged in professional development throughout her career, attending conferences and training programs on diabetes, family medicine, child health care, and chronic disease management. These experiences have strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to family medicine.
She is passionate about the role of family doctors in the community and the positive impact they can have on patients’ lives by supporting informed health decisions. Her approach to care is patient-centred, compassionate, and focused on building strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families.
In 2023, Dr Babiker began working in a private clinic in Saudi Arabia, managing emergency cases, acute illnesses, and chronic conditions alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists. She is also fully registered with the Irish Medical Council.
Dr Babiker has now relocated to Armidale with her husband and four children. She is excited to contribute to the local community while continuing her journey toward achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She brings with her a wealth of experience, dedication, and a genuine commitment to delivering quality care.
I have chosen to move to Armidale with my husband and four children to contribute to the wonderful community while continuing my journey toward completing my FRACGP. I look forward to bringing my skills, experience, and dedication to your practice and the Armidale community.
