Dr Tolulope Doherty

Dr Tolulope Doherty
BMedSci, MBChB
Dr Tolu Doherty completed her medical degree at the University of Leicester, in the United Kingdom in 2011. She worked in London for a few years before her love for travel and adventure brought her to Australia.
She brings to General Practice over nine years’ experience working as a hospital registrar in various areas including adult medicine, care of the elderly, stroke, endocrinology, cancer care and Paediatric Surgery at both the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health service, in Queensland and The Royal Hobart Hospital, here in Tasmania.
One of the things she really enjoys about General Practice is building connections and educating and empowering patients to improve their overall health and well-being. She has interests in preventative health, travel medicine, women’s health and acute and chronic disease management.
She balances her work life by having fun with her curious toddler, discovering beautiful walks, listening to audiobooks, learning crafts like crochet and sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
