James Cresswell is an accomplished podiatrist with nearly two decades of experience, having provided exceptional podiatric care across the Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow areas. James graduated with honours from the University of Western Sydney’s podiatry program in 2006.

James is returning to Ochre Medical Centre Lithgow with renewed enthusiasm and commitment to the community. In his time away, he established Progress Podiatry, a business that has thrived under his dedicated care and innovative approach. He looks forward to reconnecting with old patients and welcoming new ones.

Known for his compassionate and high-quality care, James treats patients of all ages with respect and dedication. James ensures that everyone receives a personalised treatment plan suited to their specific needs. Whether addressing routine issues like corns, calluses, and nail problems, or more complex biomechanical and neurological conditions, he values the meaningful connections he forms with his patients.

James’s commitment to evidence-based practice is reflected in his past research into the diabetic foot, lower limb biomechanics, and in-shoe pressure sensor equipment. He has also been a valuable member of multidisciplinary teams, offering comprehensive services focused on children’s and Indigenous health in remote areas around Bourke, NSW.

Jane Stanley

Podiatry and Diabetes Educator

Jane Stanley runs a diabetes education practice in Maleny, where she helps clients with everything from foot pain to insulin management. She also operates a podiatry practice, addressing a variety of foot-related issues.

“I grew up in country New South Wales and lived in many areas around Australia before settling in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in 2009,” Jane shares. “Here, I found the open space and country feel I needed, along with wonderful people.”

Jane completed her studies at QUT in Brisbane and Queensland University. She has been a podiatrist for 16 years and a credentialled diabetes educator for over six years.

“I love helping people improve their health,” Jane smiles. “I am deeply committed to assisting people with chronic diseases live the best life possible.” She treats conditions such as fallen arches, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, and problems related to injury or overuse. Additionally, Jane addresses underlying health issues like diabetes when they are linked to foot or ankle problems.

Jane is passionate about her work for its flexibility and the variety of patients she meets. “Every day is interesting,” she explains. “I also enjoy teaching people how to cope with their situations and improve their health. With diabetes, I stress one thing: education, education, education—it’s key.”

She emphasizes the importance of foot health: “Feet are our stable base. We need healthy feet to move and live. Footwear plays a big part in keeping our feet healthy, especially as we age. Protecting and supporting our feet is vital to keep us moving as the years go by.”

Kym Ellis

Podiatrist

Kym Ellis has over 13 years experience as a Podiatrist. She enjoys the challenges that practicing as a Podiatrist provides and enjoys helping to improve the quality of life for people of all ages. Having a young family, she has a particular interest in children’s and adolescent feet. As well as a keen interest in sports injuries, services also include diabetes management, biomechanical assessments, orthotics, nail care, corn and callous removal, wart treatment and general foot care. Kym has also completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) degree which provides her with excellent knowledge and experience dealing with foot pain and injuries affecting active people.

lndika studied at the University of Western Sydney, graduating in 2005. Originally from Canberra, and with a background and keen interest in athletics, cricket and basketball, he chose podiatry due to his interest in shoes and the mechanics of the feet and legs. He has worked with the leading podiatrists in Canberra and Brisbane to further increase his knowledge. He is currently involved in all aspects of podiatry and has a special interest in nail surgery and sports podiatry. Indika is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association (NSW/ACT) and a member of Sports Medicine Australia.

Owen Jeong

Owen Jeong completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters degree in Podiatry Medicine at the University of Sydney and has been working as a podiatrist for 5 years.

His special interest is in biomechanics (human body motion and gait) and orthotics.

Treatment of foot pain, ingrown toenails and fungal infections round out his special interests in his field.

Tom graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2015 and has since worked in both country and city based clinics. Tom is experienced in all areas of general and sports podiatry with particular interest in diabetic and high risk foot care and the treatment of ingrown nails, including the use of nail bracing and surgery.
