GP VMO and rural generalist practice opportunities
We are contracted by the Health Departments of state governments to provide on-site cover for the hospital rosters in numerous rural towns around Australia. This means we are able to offer unique and exciting practice opportunities for GP VMOs and rural generalists in a wide range of iconic locations – from Bourke and Lightning Ridge in Outback NSW to King Island and Flinders Island in Bass Strait, and from the Riverina region of NSW and Victoria to towns on the rugged West Coast of Tasmania. Working as a GP VMO in rural practice provides a diverse and interesting array of medicine you just won’t find in urban or regional settings. You will experience a wide range of generalist practice, including treating patients both at the hospital and in the GP clinic, caring for First Nations people and all generations of families, developing and honing valuable skills, and playing a critical role in the community, all while enjoying the lifestyle and attractions on offer in these amazing places.
